Georgia Department of Labor Mobile Lab
The Georgia Department of Labor Mobile Lab will be parked at the library all day to assist anyone in resume building and job searches. This Mobile lab is equipped with computers and staff to help and is free to the public. This service is made possible through the partnership of Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library and the Georgia Department of Labor.

This class is for ages birth to two. We sing songs and rhymes, read a book or two, learn some basic signs and review what we have learned. Using sign language is very beneficial for infants due to the fact that they cannot speak very well; they are, however, communicating in some form or fashion. Stephanie Irvin, an employee with the Georgia Libraries for Accessible Statewide Services (GLASS), will be sharing information about accessible reading materials. Residents of Georgia who are unable to read standard print due to a disability, may qualify for free, accessible reading materials through GLASS. Children of all ages can sit awhile and read with Carl, a very sweet & lovable golden retriever. Carl is an Alliance of Therapy Dogs member and is trained to be a therapy dog. He loves to be petted, loved on and read to. Carl's owner, Sue (Susan Van Buren), is a registered play therapist and licensed clinical social worker who enjoys teaching families about the benefits of play therapy, what it entails, and the techniques that enhance parent/child relationships.

Experiment in a simple tutorial, try to beat the high score by keeping on rhythm, explore the world like a bird, or join in short stories.
