Message to Our Community

Hello there! We are missing you!

On March 12th, the Northwest Georgia Regional Library Board of Trustees met and voted to close all library branches in Gordon, Whitfield, and Murray counties until further notice.

Thank you for housing your borrowed materials for us and be assured we have forgiven all fines and fees.

We are preparing a reopening plan that will begin with drive-thru service. Instructions for that will be coming soon.

Please visit our website and Facebook as messages will be posted after a May 13, 2020, virtual meeting of the regional boards.

You have my pledge that we will reopen as soon as we can do so safely.

Hang in there, stay safe and healthy. We will see you soon.

Sincerely,

Darla Chambliss

Library Director

The Northwest Georgia boards will meet via conference call and via a virtual meeting application. The meeting will be held on May 13 at 5:00 p.m.

Gov. Brian Kemp extended the public health emergency through May 13 in executive order 04.08.20.02, allowing a phone conference (virtual) meeting through that date. The meetings are open to the public and the minutes of the meetings are available to the public.
