Polar Express Readings @ Old Chatsworth Depot — All Ages

Location
Off Site
Time
7am - 11am
Date
Dec. 1, 2018
All Ages

Christmas is coming to the Old Chatsworth Depot on Saturday, December 1. Prior to the annual 6pm Christmas Parade through downtown, the historic Chatsworth train depot on First Avenue will be open from noon until 4 p.m.

Highlighting the afternoon will be model trains set up and running in the former freight room of the building, with readings of THE POLAR EXPRESS on the half hour. Train enthusiast Ted Yarbrough, and other members of the Georgia Garden Railway Society, will provide operating trains. Local retired educator C L Dunn will do the readings.

Refreshments will be served.

The event is free for children 10 and under (must be accompanied by a paid adult), but a $2 donation for those ages 11 and up is requested with the proceeds going to the continued preservation of the Depot, Chatsworth’s oldest building. The event is co-sponsored by the Chatsworth-Murray County Library. For more information call the library at 706-695-4200
