Curbside Service – Dalton-Whitfield Library
In an effort to begin providing limited curbside services for our patrons, we’re inviting users to participate in curbside services between 10:00am – 12:00pm this week. These services are limited to checking out up to five library items (books, movies, or audiobooks) from the Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library. We’ll add capacity and services as the staff begin to return and procedures are developed. Please continue to hang onto your materials until we announce that the book drops / book returns are open. No fines or fees will be charged.
Patrons from all NGRL branches are welcome to participate, but currently, pick-up is only available at the Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library.
At this time, we’re beginning to go through our backlog of PINES holds. This process will take a while, as we have more than 60 bins to go through. We will be contacting patrons via the phone to let them know when they can pick up their items. Please disregard any PINES emails you receive notifying you of holds being available.
How Do I Participate?
- Place up to 5 holds using https://gapines.org > My Account. You’ll need your library card number and PIN (typically the last 4 digits of your phone number). If you already have items on hold, please note the titles of the five you would like to prioritize for the form. If you need assistance in this process, please indicate it on the form.
- Complete the form linked at the bottom of this page. Our staff and supplies are currently limited, so there may delays in receiving your items.
- Wait for a call from library staff to notify you that your items are ready for pickup and to schedule a day to pick them up.
- Park at the library between 10:00am and 12:00pm and follow the instructions on the signs!
If you have questions or need assistance placing items on hold, please email email@example.com.
