To apply for a library card, you will need to fill out an application. You can print out an English application (.pdf),
a Spanish application (.pdf), or come into the library and pick up an application.
Who can get a PINES library card? |
Anyone who is a resident of Georgia, owns land in Georgia, works in Georgia, or goes to school in Georgia. |
Can I get a card if I don’t live, work, or go to school in Georgia? |
Yes. You may get a six-month non-resident card for $12.50 or a twelve-month non-resident card for $25.00. |

How old do I have to be to get a PINES card? |
There is no minimum age; minors must have a parent or guardian present to register. The parent or guardian will be held responsible for any fines or fees. |
What if I forget or lose my card? |
Statewide PINES policy requires that you have a valid card with you to check out materials, renew materials, or to pay fines. You may return home to get your card (materials will be held) or purchase a replacement card for $2.00. Photo ID is not accepted in the place of a library card. |
How long does my card last? |
PINES library cards must be renewed every two years to remain valid. Renewing the card is an opportunity to check that the information on the card is still correct. |
