DW – Teen Cotton Ball War

Dalton-Whitfield County Library presents a Teen event: School’s Out Cotton Ball War on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 5:30pm

Teens in 6-12th grade, learn to make catapults, slingshots, and a working tank out of school supplies. Cotton balls will be used as ammo so parents have no fear! The warrior who takes out the most targets will receive a prize!

Dalton-Whitfield County Library presents a Teen College Series event: Graduation Celebration – Postponed/Cancelled

Originally scheduled for Saturday, May 14th, this program has been postponed/cancelled due to the library being closed.

DW – 5:00pm CLOSING due to Safety Testing

Dalton-Whitfield County Library will be CLOSING AT 5:00pm today, Friday, March 18, 2016

There will be testing and inspection of the library’s Fire and Security Alarm systems, which will require all power to be shut down. For safety reasons, we cannot have the public in the library during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience and will open tomorrow at 10:00am as planned.

Dalton-Whitfield County Library will be hosting a teen Fandom Friday: Doctor Who on Friday, April 29, 2016, from 4:30pm – 5:30pm

to register.

This is a free event with all materials provided. Teens in grades 6th – 12th only, please.

Dalton-Whitfield County Library will be hosting a teen event: Project Prom on Saturday, April 23, 2016, from 12:00pm – 1:00pm

Using recycled materials, we’ll be creating dresses which can be used for prom, or anything you desire. This is a free event with all materials provided. Teens in grades 6th – 12th only, please.

Dalton-Whitfield County Library will be hosting a teen DIY event: College projects on Saturday, April 16, 2016, from 12:00pm – 1:00pm

For many seniors, it’s time to think about college. Come create different projects that might be useful in a dorm (or your room!). This is a free event with all materials provided. Teens in grades 6th – 12th only, please.

DW – YA Think Tank: Pop By & Try

Dalton-Whitfield County Library will be hosting a teen Think Tank: Pop By & Try on Thursday, April 7, 2016, from 5:30 – 6:30

Come celebrate Caramel Popcorn Day by learning to make flavored popcorn recipes (or make your own popcorn recipes) while hearing about what is going on for teens in the library. Tell us what you would like to see or do. This is a free event with all materials provided. Teens in grades 6th – 12th only, please.

DW – Teen Superhero Movie Night

Dalton-Whitfield County Library presents a movie night for teens: Superheroes on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm
