DW – CLOSED for power outage

Dalton-Whitfield Library is CLOSED on Friday, August 21st 2015 due to a power outage

We apologize for any inconvenience. The Chatsworth and Calhoun libraries are still open and you are able to renew and return your materials at any PINES library.

DW – CLOSED for Staff In-Service Day

Dalton-Whitfield Library will be closed on July 30th and July 31st for a Staff In-Service Day

In order to best serve our patrons, the library staff periodically receives training. We’ll be focusing on Collection Development this time, so look forward to some great things happening!

Remember, whenever the library is closed, you can still access our Digital Media like eBooks and eAudiobooks. You can also drop books off at the bookdrop or renew online!

Dalton-Whitfield Library presents a Summer Reading Program: Teens’ Choice Movie, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay on July 16th at 4:00pm

Teens in 6-12th grade, you voted on it, now we’ll watch it! The movie will be in the LTTC Classroom in the downstairs of Dalton-Whitfield Library.

Teens in 6-12th grade, learn to create a cool tote from old t-shirts. We’ll provide the supplies, but if you have an old t-shirt you’d like to cut up, feel free to bring it! Qualifications: Open to Georgia students in grades K-12.
How to enter: Read at least one book on sports/sportsmanship, then register for the Home Run Readers program and complete the grade appropriate online activity. Print off your certificate and bring it to the library to receive a redeemable code!
