On Tuesday the 22nd of July, Kevin Casey – operations manager of WEBS Radio Station, will explain the emergency alert system – how it works, where information is disseminated, the codes used, the agencies involved, and how quickly the radio station can alert the public.

Our last speaker is Fire Chief Lenny Nesbit, on Tuesday, July 29th, Fire Chief Nesbit will discuss fire-fighting and investigative processes regarding the forensics of suspected arson inquests and the associated technology.

All adults are welcome. Please call the library at (706) 624-1456, and ask for Carmen Forsee, with any questions.

DW – Career Counseling (LTTC)

Thinking of changing career paths or getting ready to start working? Come meet with a trained career counselor for free and discuss your options!

Dalton-Whitfield will be partnering with trained counselors to provide Career Counseling to all area residents: Fridays, 10am – 4pm March 21st – June 27th.

The counseling is free, open to everyone, and registration is not required.

If you aren’t sure what kind of career you want to start, have a career and want to change, or just want to explore your options, this counseling might be for you!

When you come in, you will need to complete a written form and an online career assessment through GA College 411, before you meet briefly with a career counselor to figure out which of the three colleges in the area (Chattahoochee Tech, Dalton State, or Georgia Northwestern Tech) will be the best to help you meet your new career goals.
