Calhoun-Gordon County Library will be closed all day on January 20, 2016 due to forecasted inclement weather

Whitfield county schools are closing, and to protect the community and the staff, Calhoun-Gordon County Library will be closed due to the weather. All events scheduled for today will be postponed.

During this time, you can always check out ebooks and eAudiobooks by visiting our Digital Media page. For your own safety, we ask that you do not use our bookdrops unless you feel conditions are safe.

CG – Adult Craft: Christmas Ornaments (Pre-registration Required)

Calhoun-Gordon Library has rescheduled an Adult Craft: Christmas Ornaments. It will now take place on on December 3rd from 4:00-5:30pm

Come create ornaments at the library. We’ll supply the materials and some inspiration, you supply the creativity! The Teen Craft night on November 13th has been rescheduled to join the Adult Craft night.

Register for classes at the front desk. There are a limited number of seats, so reserve yours today! You must be registered to attend.

CG – Closed due to Renovations

Calhoun-Gordon Library will be closed October 6th – October 26th due to renovations

We’re still working on the library building and we appreciate how patient our patrons have been! We also apologize for any inconvenience this closing may cause.

Patrons are still able to use our Digital Media like eBooks, digital audiobooks, and digital magazines and Calhoun residents are welcome to use the Dalton and Chatsworth libraries! The computer labs at both branches will be available and any items checked out from Calhoun can be returned at either library. Likewise, items can be renewed and checked out from both libraries!

DW – LTTC Grand Opening

Dalton-Whitfield presents the Learning and Technology Training Center Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting on September 30 from 3:30pm to 6:30pm! The Ribbon Cutting will be at 5:30 pm.

Dalton-Whitfield Library is working with other community organizations to offer the Learning and Technology Training Center. The computer lab will be moving into the center, and there will be technology-based classes available, as well as spaces for tutors to work with students and a sitting area with electrical outlets and free wireless internet! Drop by during the grand opening to see the new space, enjoy refreshments, and learn what the LTTC has to offer you.
