Dalton-Whitfield Library presents a passive program for teens making Duct Tape Wallets: November 17th – 22nd
Drop by any time and grab some supplies and the instructions and make your very own duct tape wallet. There will be several colors to choose from and you get to take it home! If you take a picture, make sure to put it on our Facebook page so we can show it off for you! This program is for teens between 6th and 12th grade.
Dalton-Whitfield Library presents International Game Day @ Your Library: Saturday, November 15th at 10:00am
Come to the library and play some games, including board games like Monopoly, Life, and Clue! Libraries across the country and the world will be hosting their own Game Days all around the same time. All ages are welcome and encouraged to join in.
For teens in 6-12th grade, there will be a Wii tournament. Drop by the library starting November 1st to sign up!
Dalton-Whitfield Library presents a workshop teaching teens the basics of 3D printing
If you’re in 6th-12th grade, you’re invited to our workshop. You’ll learn what a 3D Printer is, get to start designing a 3D model, and earn a certificate for a free print on our 3D printer. Basic computer skills are necessary! Bring your ideas and creativity. Registration is required through the LTTC. Register here.

Are you part of the TAG yet? If you’re between 12 and 18 and you want to play a role in how the library serves teens, come to the TAG! Do crafts, chat about what you’re reading, and help us serve you.
Dalton-Whitfield Library is offering a passive program making Origami Bookmarks from November 3rd to November 8th
Drop by any time and pick up supplies and instructions. Make an origami bookmark and then take it home with you. If you take a picture, make sure to post it on our Facebook page so we can show it off for you! This event is for teens in 6th to 12th grade.
Dalton-Whitfield Library will be hosting a Wii Tournament for International Gaming Day at your Library: Saturday, November 15th at 10:00am
To participate, sign up on the sheet on the teen bulletin board. Sign-ups begin November 1st. This tournament is for teens in 6-12th grade. Other types of games will be available for other ages.
Dalton-Whitfield Library’s The Happiness Project presents the Chattanooga Symphony playing some upbeat music: October 30th at 5:30pm
Join the library and other members of the community in listening to some happy, upbeat music played by the Chattanooga Symphony.
While you’re here, make sure you pick up a fabric square for the Happiness Quilt. Draw or write what makes you happy on it and bring it back to the library so we can make a community-based quilt!

Dalton-Whitfield Library and the Teen Advisory Group present a Zombie Makeup and Wounds event: Monday, October 27th at 5:30pm
All teens between 12-18 are invited to learn how to put on zombie make up and create fake wounds! It’s free to attend and snacks will be provided. Share your love of zombies and have some fun!
Dalton-Whitfield Library will be presenting Ancestry.com workshops: Monday, October 27th at 10:00am and Thursday, October 30 at 10:00am.
October 27th at 10:00am: Come learn the basics of using Ancestry Library Edition and see how the library can help you find your ancestors.
October 30th at 10:00am: Learn more the more advanced features of using Ancestry Library Edition and go more indepth on your family history.
These presentations will be offered in the LTTC, so go to the first floor on the elevator and take a left! We look forward to seeing you.
Dalton-Whitfield presents the Learning and Technology Training Center Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting on September 30 from 3:30pm to 6:30pm! The Ribbon Cutting will be at 5:30 pm.
Dalton-Whitfield Library is working with other community organizations to offer the Learning and Technology Training Center. The computer lab will be moving into the center, and there will be technology-based classes available, as well as spaces for tutors to work with students and a sitting area with electrical outlets and free wireless internet! Drop by during the grand opening to see the new space, enjoy refreshments, and learn what the LTTC has to offer you.
