Dalton-Whitfield Library presents a Summer Reading Program: Cosplay Tips and Tricks on June 2nd at 3:00pm
This event will be at the Dalton Community Center (Mack Gaston Center).
Teens in 6-12th grade, join us to learn about cosplaying, or costuming as your favorite superhero or character. Don’t forget to check in for your weekly prize and a chance to win a grand prize. Check-ins stop 15 minutes before the show and begin again after the show ends.

Read at least one book on sports/sportsmanship, then register
for the Home Run Readers program and complete the grade appropriate online activity. Print off your certificate and bring it to the library to receive a redeemable code!

Dalton-Whitfield Library will be hosting an author visit from Chris Cructcher: May 11th from 4:30 – 6:30pm
Come find out how Chris Crutcher, author of many teen and YA books, came to be the author he is today! He will read from one of his books and then participate in discussion. This reading and discussion is free to the public, so join us! This event is for teens in 6-12th grade.

Dalton-Whitfield Library will be have a late opening: Saturday, May 9th at 10:30am
Due to the Bill Gregory race, which will be taking place on Waugh street and other surrounding streets, Dalton-Whitfield Library will be delaying its opening. This will hopefully allow staff members and patrons to get to the building without difficulties from road closings.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this might cause. The library will still close at 1:30pm, and the computer lab will still close at 1:15 pm.

Drop by the teen room any time during the week of Monday, March 16th- Friday, March 20th to help put together a puzzle.
Dalton-Whitfield Library is presenting a teen movie: Guardians of the Galaxy
Teens in 6th-12th grade are invited to a free showing of Guardians of the Galaxy! There will be free popcorn provided and candy available for purchase. Please note, Guardians of the Galaxy is PG-13. The movie will be showing 03/13/2015 at 3:30pm.
