DW – Teen DIY Steam Projects in the LTTC

Dalton-Whitfield County Library presents a STEAM event for teens: DIY Steam Projects on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 5:00pm – 6:00pm

The Learning and Technology Training Center has new STEAM lockers, which have DIY crafts and Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) projects for various age groups. Come explore the teen lockers and make something STEAM related. You’ll get to keep the projects you complete.

Teens in 6th – 12th grade only, please. We’ll be meeting in the classroom in the lower floor of the library.

DW – LTTC Keyboarding Computer Basics Class

Dalton-Whitfield County Library’s LTTC presents a Computer Basics Class: Keyboarding on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 11:00am – 12:30pm

Become familiar with the keyboard, including learning about the home keys, capitalization, and more. No computer experience is required.

DW – Creation Station for Kids

Dalton-Whitfield County Library’s Children’s department presents the Creation Station, an art workshop for kids on Thursday, February 25th from 4pm – 5pm.

Designed for kids in Kindergarten – 5th grade, an instructor will help kids paint a picture step-by-step. This class is limited to 20 participants as there will only be twenty canvases available for purchase ($5 or less). Signing up is not required as this will be a first-come, first-serve event. Please arrive early to ensure a place in the class.

Please note, all children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the class.
