DW – Project Keepsake

Project Keepsake Web

Author Amber Lanier Nagle will be at Dalton-Whitfield Library: April 15th at 5:00pm and April 17th at 5:30pm

Project Keepsake is a book about the memories and stories that are a part of every keepsake. By asking the right questions, the author has drawn stories out of Northwest Georgia residents and collected them together along with pictures of the items. The goal is encourage everyone to tell their own keepsake stories so those memories can live on.

Adult Workshop – April 15th @ 5:00pm – Bring your favorite keepsake, a pen, and some paper to write along with Amber. She’ll help you get the story of your keepsake onto paper and work with you on the art of writing, including planning, organization, and revision. Start your own story while you’re there.

Reading & Signing – April 15th @ 6:00pm – Join Amber and the local Dalton residents who contributed to her book as they read some of their stories and sign copies of the book. The book will be available for sale during the reception. Attendees are invited to bring along their own keepsakes to share their stories with the audience as well, and if you attended the workshop before, your story may already be started!

Teen Workshop – April 17th @ 5:30pm – Bring your favorite keepsake, a pen, and some paper to write along with Amber. She’ll help you get the story of your keepsake onto paper and work with you on the art of writing, including planning, organization, and revision. Start your own story while you’re there.

Project Keepsake
“Amber Lanier Nagle has always been interested in keepsakes-a glass bluebird, a pocket knife, a dime-store locket, a faded fishing lure, a dented cake pan, a model train car, and so many others. “Why do you keep this?” she asks. “Where did it come from?” And then she listens as the stores and memories pour out. Project Keepsake is Nagle’s crusade to collect and publish the stories that transform simple, everyday objects into priceless keepsakes. Told in first-person by both seasoned and aspiring writers, each story in the anthology is unique, yet each reveals common threads that connect us all and celebrate the glorious human experience.” – Amazon.com description
