All Northwest Georgia Regional Libraries will be participating in Food for Fines from November 1st – November 22nd
If you have fines on your library card but can’t quite get them paid, this is a great way to reduce those fines while helping others in need. Bring a non-perishable food item to the library and receive $1.00 off your fines. Food items must not be expired. Food items may not be able to help with lost or damaged items fees.
Food will be donated to the following locations, based on the library it is brought to:
- Calhoun-Gordon County Library: Voluntary Action Center of Calhoun, Georgia
- Chatsworth-Murray County Library: Helping Hands Food Pantry
- Dalton-Whitfield County Library: City of Refuge
The Northwest Georgia Regional Library Board of Trustees will be meeting on Tuesday, October 25, at 5:00pm

Chatsworth-Murray County Library will be presenting Suspense Movies on Saturdays in September and October
Join us as we get ready for Halloween by watching some old-school suspense movies made by one of the most well-known classic filmmakers. Due to copyright restrictions, we will not be publishing the name of the movies or the filmmaker. You can drop by the library for more information!

Chatsworth-Murray County Library will be celebrating International Dot Day on Thursday, September 15, 2016 starting at 10:30am
Join us as we celebrate The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, which encourages us to make our mark on the world. We will be doing crafts including making and painting dots to hang on our tree, playing a dot-based game, and doing a scavenger hunt. We’ll have popcorn for a snack!
