Chef Carlin, who is a personal chef, will teach us to prepare delicious and healthy meals. The class is hands-on and everyone will get to help prepare the menu & then eat. Pre-registration is required and the program is limited to 25.

Who doesn’t want to have fun getting fit? Zumba, the Latin-dance-inspired fitness workout, aims to help you do just that. Zumba uses music and choreographed steps to form a fitness party atmosphere. Come meet Tennille Aker and join the fun!
Northwest Georgia Regional Library System will be hosting a Math Success Camp for Rising 9th Graders on Mondays and Wednesdays between June 20, 2016 and July 18, 2016
The Math Success Camp will help motivated, rising 9th graders prepare for freshman Algebra. Transitioning from middle school to high school can be scary. Learning skills that will help students do well in critical subjects like math, is a big confidence booster. The Math Success Camp will show kids that math can be fun, creative, and can apply to real life. The camp will be taught by certified area high school math teachers, and will focus on helping students: improve their confidence in their ability to do math , learn skills that will prepare them for Algebra I, Learn how to study math, and connect mathematical concepts to real life application.
There will be sessions available in the mornings from 10am – 12pm and in the evenings from 4pm – 6pm. There will be no class the week of July 4th.
Classes will take place at Dalton-Whitfield County Library, 310 Cappes St, Dalton GA, 30720, but are open to motivated students from Gordon, Murray, and Whitfield counties.

Calhoun-Gordon County Library will be visited by Police Sergeant Tom Petty for an informational class on Sexual Assault & Prevention Awareness on Monday, April 25th from 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Teens and Adults are invited to come hear about how you can remain safe, defend yourself, and what kinds of events should be reported, etc. Please note, this is not a self-defense class. This class is in honor of April, Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
