CG – Financial Aid Decoded – Adults & Teens

Calhoun-Gordon County Library will be working with Angie Harlow from Reinhardt University to present Financial Aid Decoded on February 25, 2016 from 4:00pm – 5:30pm

Are you interested in attending college? Remember, there is no age limit on learning!

Angie Harlow from the Financial Aid Office of Reinhardt University will be offering an information session of how to get yourself ready for college. Things that will be discussed include How to Apply for Admissions and Financial Aid, SAT vs. ACT, How to Complete a FAFSA, Move on When Ready (MOWR) for Dual Enrolled Students and How to Receive Federal and State Aid.

CG – Storyteller, Joanna Maddox

Calhoun-Gordon County Library presents storyteller Joanna Maddox as she brings alive the story of Harriet Tubman on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 5pm – 6pm

Our library is pleased to welcome Joanna Maddox, a gifted story teller of the Kuumba Storytellers of Georgia. She has appeared in numerous national television and radio commercials. She has appeared in “In the Heat of the Night” and on the “Tonight Show” with Jay Leno.

History comes alive as she uses her musical and acting talents to perform “Journey to Freedom with Harriet Tubman”. This program is suitable for families and will be performed on Tuesday, February 16th from 5 to 6 p.m. in our community room.

Seating is limited and once the program begins, there will be no further admittance. No video or audio recording will be allowed. Question & answer time will follow. Please contact either Nyala or Elizabeth (706-624-1456) if you have any questions.

NGRL – CLOSED for Staff Training

Calhoun-Gordon Library, Chatsworth-Murray Library, and Dalton-Whitfield Library will all be closed for staff training on Monday, February 15th

This first of our training days for the year. The libraries will be closed to the public while staff comes in and learns how to better serve you!

Remember, during that time our book drops will be open for returns and our eBooks and eAudiobooks will still be available. You can renew your items online as well!
