Creating Bracelets with Polymer Clay with Karli Land: Wednesday, July 9th @ 4:00pm
Choose your colors of polymer clay to make your own handmade beads. After the beads are baked, we will use them to create a one-of-a-kind bracelet for you to take home. Sign-up is required.

Ken Panse has been working with exotic animals for over twenty years and is eager to share his passion with children through educational presentations. Children will be able to get up close and personal with some of the animals, when possible, while learning about their habitats, dietary needs, and distinct behaviors. Kids from 0 to rising 5th graders will get to participate in a summer full of reading, science, and fun in our Summer Reading Club. Most events will be on Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. at the Calhoun Depot located across the railroad tracks from the library.

CG – Closed for Renovations

Calhoun-Gordon Library will be closed for renovations: June 24th – July 7th

The library will reopen on July 8th. We encourage you to come and see all of the hard work being put into the library when we reopen. We look forward to seeing you and apologize for any inconvenience.

All summer reading events will continue as planned! They will occur at the Depot and for one teen program, at the Bakery. For more information, see The Summer Reading Page.

Little Red Barn: Tuesday, July 1st @ 2:00 pm
Little Red Barn is a mobile petting zoo in which children can meet farm animals and learn more about what attributes their favorite animals share. This educational experience will help children understand facts like the differences between hooves and toes while letting participants touch the animals.
