CG – Noni’s Nook Story Time

Calhoun-Gordon County Library presents Noni’s Nook Story Time: Thursdays in November at 10:30 a.m.

Join us for stories and activities for children from three – five years. November is Picture Book Month, and this is what Jerry Pinkney has to say: “the picture book is often a child’s first experience of looking at and reading art. Children learn to read pictures before they learn to sound out words or read full sentences, and for the very young, the partnership between pictures and text helps them take in and find pleasure in a narrative. It also stimulates a child’s desire to read words, and in this way, deciphering and understanding art becomes a small victory on the path to becoming a reader.” – Why Picture Books are Important by Jerry Pinkney.

CG – Closed due to Renovations

Calhoun-Gordon Library will be closed October 6th – October 26th due to renovations

We’re still working on the library building and we appreciate how patient our patrons have been! We also apologize for any inconvenience this closing may cause.

Patrons are still able to use our Digital Media like eBooks, digital audiobooks, and digital magazines and Calhoun residents are welcome to use the Dalton and Chatsworth libraries! The computer labs at both branches will be available and any items checked out from Calhoun can be returned at either library. Likewise, items can be renewed and checked out from both libraries!
