Calhoun-Gordon Library will be closed October 6th – October 26th due to renovations
We’re still working on the library building and we appreciate how patient our patrons have been! We also apologize for any inconvenience this closing may cause.
Patrons are still able to use our Digital Media like eBooks, digital audiobooks, and digital magazines and Calhoun residents are welcome to use the Dalton and Chatsworth libraries! The computer labs at both branches will be available and any items checked out from Calhoun can be returned at either library. Likewise, items can be renewed and checked out from both libraries!
The Chess Club meets each Thursday at 1:00 P.M. This club is open to chess players of all levels.
Calhoun-Gordon Library will be closed for renovations: June 24th – July 7th

Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, June 17th, for the Annual FOL Member Meeting. The meeting will be held at the Voluntary Action Center’s new training room located at 343 S. Wall Street in downtown Calhoun. The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. The guest speaker will be Elaine Little and she will discuss her book A Southern Place.

Please bring your own device if it is portable! We will show you how to access, download, and begin reading on your device. Registration is not required. You must have a valid NGRL PINES card and PIN number to access eBooks.
Come join us on Thursday, April 17th from 10:30-11:30 at the Calhoun-Gordon County Library and meet local author, Natalie Czerkasij Lewellen. Natalie and her mother, Alla Czerkasij are co-authors of the book, Deliverance, a true story of Alla’s childhood in the Ukraine during World War II.
The Calhoun-Gordon County Library Board will meet Tuesday, April 8th at 4:00 p.m. in the Local History/Genealogy Room. The public is invited.

Libraries all over the nation will be celebrating National Library Week. Join in and listen to the stories of two authors.
4/14 @ 4:30pm – Teen Writing Workshop with Amber Nagle:
Amber Lanier Nagle will be present to teach teens how to write about a treasured keepsake of their own. Learn the basics of planning, writing, and editing a story. Bring a keepsake of your own, pens, and paper.
Interested in attending, but not a teen? Dalton-Whitfield library will be hosting Project Keepsake workshops for adults and teens.
