Make a mixed media art project. From paper crafting, to paint, to artistic design. Choose your patterns and colors and then add your favorite quote. Sign-up is required.

Rising 6th graders to rising 12th graders will get to participate in a summer full of reading, art, and fun with our Summer Reading Program. Most events will be on Wednesdays at 4:00pm at the Calhoun Depot located across the railroad tracks from the library.

Make a 24-page steampunk journal with touches of leather and air dry cly. Bring your creativity to customize your own one-of-a-kind project. Details will be added to each page before they are sewn between the handmade covers. Sign-up is required.

Choose your colors of polymer clay to make your own handmade beads. After the beads are baked, we will use them to create a one-of-a-kind bracelet for you to take home. Sign-up is required.

CG – eBook Library Resources

Calhoun-Gordon Library will be hosting an eBook training class: May 7th at 4:00pm

Please bring your own device if it is portable! We will show you how to access, download, and begin reading on your device. Registration is not required. You must have a valid NGRL PINES card and PIN number to access eBooks.

CG – Project Keepsake for Teens

CGPK
Amber Nagle will conduct a Project Keepsake workshop for middle and high school students at 4:30 p.m. on April 14th at the Calhoun-Gordon County Library.  Participants are encouraged to bring paper, pencil/pen and a “keepsake” or momento about which they can share a story. CG – National Library Week

Calhoun-Gordon Library will be celebrating National Library Week: April 14th – 18th

Libraries all over the nation will be celebrating National Library Week. Join in and listen to the stories of two authors.
4/14 @ 4:30pm – Teen Writing Workshop with Amber Nagle:
CGPK
Amber Lanier Nagle will be present to teach teens how to write about a treasured keepsake of their own. Learn the basics of planning, writing, and editing a story. Bring a keepsake of your own, pens, and paper.
Interested in attending, but not a teen? Dalton-Whitfield library will be hosting Project Keepsake workshops for adults and teens.

4/16 @ 10:30am – GiGi’s Pajama Party Storytime:
Come enjoy a special story time for toddlers! Wear your favorite PJs and have some fun.

4/17 @ 10:30am – Author’s Tea with Natalie Czerkasij Lewellen:

CG – Closed for Memorial Day

Calhoun-Gordon Library will be closed for Memorial Day: May 24th – May 26th

We hope you enjoy the holiday! No books will be due during this time. Our online collections will still be available when we’re closed, so check out our OneClickdigital Audiobooks and Zinio Digital magazines. Our book drops will be available for returns as well.

CG – Closed for Renovations

Calhoun-Gordon Library will be closed for renovations: Monday, February 24th until Tuesday, March, 4rd.

Calhoun Library will resume normal hours on Tuesday, March 4th. Keep an eye on the Renovations page to follow along with our progress as we improve the library.
