The board meeting is open to the public, giving any interested parties a chance to talk to the boards who govern the libraries.

The Board of Trustees for Northwest Georgia Regional Library System will be meeting November 2nd, 2017 at 5:00pm
The Board of Trustees of the Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library, the Chatsworth-Murray County Public Library, and the Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library, will hold a combined quarterly meeting Thursday, November 2nd, 2017, at 5:00pm at the Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library, located at 310 Cappes St, Dalton, GA 30720. This meeting is open to the public.
This regularly scheduled meeting of the board of trustees will consider agenda items, actions and review proposed amednments and or updates to the constitution and bylaws of the public library. Proposed changes to the constitution and bylaws must be presented to the library board of trustess for review at least 2-weeks prior to the meeting date. The notice must also be presented in the public news organ prior to the open meeting. O.C.G.A § 50-14-1.

Calhoun-Gordon County Library presents a Computer Class: Resumes 102 on Monday, October 30th, 2017 from 1:30-2:45pm
Continue building and formatting your resume from the previous class. Note: We recommend you take Basics 101 and 102 before taking the Resume class if you are not familiar with computers. Pre-registration is required as seats are limited.

Calhoun-Gordon County Library presents a Teen Event: Coding Class on Saturdays in October from 1:00pm-2:45pm
Come learn basic programming concepts and strengthen your logical thinking skills using a combination of Khan Academy lessons and IRL exercises. The class will be led by G. Ann Campbell, a programmer with nearly 20 years’ experience in the industry. Originally self taught, Campbell went back to school to earn her Bachelor’s of Computer Science while programming full time during the day. Today she works as a Product Manager for SonarSource SA, the company behind the open source software code quality platform SonarQube. Pre-registration is required.
Teens in 6th-12th grade only, please.
