CM – David Ginn Magician

Chatsworth-Murray County Library presents a SRP2016 Event: David Ginn Magician coming Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10:30am

David Ginn Magician will be returning to Chatsworth-Murray Library this summer! DAVID GINN is a magician/author who performs hundreds of shows yearly at schools, libraries and conventions. This summer David is traveling around his home state of Georgia presenting his MAGIC A-LYMPICS show of reading magic fun. CG – Talking Books

Calhoun-Gordon County Library presents an all ages class: Talking Books on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 starting at 4:30pm

Come Learn about talking books that are available for the physically and visually impaired. Georgia provides the GLASS (Georgia Libraries for Accessible Statewide Services) network, which offers FREE library services for indviduals who are unable to read standard print materials due to visual or physical impairment. They loan books and magazines in audio formats, Braille, and digital downloads. There are more than 70,000 titles accessible online and FREE delivery.

NGRL – CLOSED for Memorial Day

All Northwest Georgia Regional Libraries will be closed for the Memorial Day holidays on Monday, May 30, 2016

In order for our staff to spend Memorial Day with their family, Dalton-Whitfield, Calhoun-Gordon, and Chatsworth-Murray County Libraries will be closed. Stay safe.

Remember, during that time our book drops will be open for returns and our eBooks and eAudiobooks will still be available. You can renew your items online as well!

Dalton-Whitfield County Library’s LTTC presents an Advanced Computer Class: 3D Printing 101 on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 5:00pm – 6:30pm

Learn how to design a basic 3D model and become familiar with our Makerbot 3D printer. Basic computer skills and an email address are required for this class.

DW – Teen Cotton Ball War

Dalton-Whitfield County Library presents a Teen event: School’s Out Cotton Ball War on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 5:30pm

Teens in 6-12th grade, learn to make catapults, slingshots, and a working tank out of school supplies. Cotton balls will be used as ammo so parents have no fear! The warrior who takes out the most targets will receive a prize!
