Join us for the second class in the Basic track. Learn how to open and close computer programs and how to tell what each icon means among other things.

Our classes offer an hour of instruction and thirty minutes to ask questions and practice the skills you just learned. The class size is limited, so make sure you register!

Join us for the first class in the Workforce Development track. Learn about the different programs that are part of the Microsoft Office Suite and how they are used in the workplace.

Our classes offer an hour of instruction and thirty minutes to ask questions and practice the skills you just learned. The class size is limited, so make sure you register! Please remember that to register for the Workplace Development classes, you must already be able to demonstrate the skills listed in the Basic Track.

CG – National Coloring Day

Calhoun-Gordon Library celebrates National Coloring Day: August 2nd, 2015

In celebration of National Coloring Day, we will be giving out free coloring sheets for all ages. The children’s department will have the pages for children, the YA section will have pages for teens, and the circulation desk will have pages for adults. Come relax and color with us.

The pages will be available all week.

DW – CLOSED for Staff In-Service Day

Dalton-Whitfield Library will be closed on July 30th and July 31st for a Staff In-Service Day

In order to best serve our patrons, the library staff periodically receives training. We’ll be focusing on Collection Development this time, so look forward to some great things happening!

Remember, whenever the library is closed, you can still access our Digital Media like eBooks and eAudiobooks. You can also drop books off at the bookdrop or renew online!

CM – Story Time

Chatsworth-Murray Library presentsStory Time: Wednesdays at 10:30 am

Find out the theme at the library or come in and be surprised.

10:30am every Wednesday. Please note that story time sessions are regularly scheduled for the general public and are for preschool-age kids. An adult must remain with children attending story time. If a child engages in disruptive behavior, the adult must remove him/her from the session.

DW – Despicable Me 2 Movie Showing

Dalton-Whitfield Library presents a Summer Reading Program: Despicable Me 2 at 11:00am on Saturday, July 18th

Films are limited to 75 seats. There will be free popcorn and kids will be able to vote on the hero-based movies they want to see the most at the end of the month. Films will be rated either G or PG. This is an opportunity to check in. Please note that registration and checking in closes 15 minutes before the event begins and remains closed until the end of the program.

CG – Teen Bio-Bus: Biotech. and Forensics

Calhoun-Gordon Library presents a Summer Reading Program: Bio-Bus: Biotechnology and Forensics on July 17th at 12:30pm

This program is for 6th-12th graders only. Pre-registration is required as seats are extremely limited. Contact Nyala at 706-624-1456 for more information. Event will be at the Calhoun-Gordon Library.
Come find out some of the technology that our civic heroes use to catch villains. Don’t forget to check in for your weekly prize and a chance to win a grand prize. Check-ins stop 15 minutes before the show and begin again after the show ends.
