Dalton-Whitfield Library is reintroducing the Teen Advisory Group called TAG! The first meeting will be September 25, 2014 at 5:30pm
Teens between 6-12th grade are invited to join the TAG group. This is a volunteer opportunity that will allow you to help plan teen programs, give feedback on the library’s teen collection, and promote how great the library can be!
Snacks will be provided.
The LTTC is offering a Windows 8 computer class
Basic computer skills are required. Bring your own device and let us help you learn how to use all of the new features of Windows 8 to your advantage. Registration is required for all LTTC classes.
Dalton-Whitfield Library’s Computer Lab will be closed: Wednesday, September 24th at 5:00pm until Thursday, September 25th at 12:00pm
The staff at Dalton-Whitfield Library will use the closed time to move the Computer Lab to the Learning and Technology Training Center. When the Lab reopens, it will be on the 1st floor of the library. To reach the 1st floor, simply take the elevator down and then turn left.
The last log-in on the computers will be at 4:00pm and time will not be extended past 5:00pm.

The LTTC is offering a Microsoft Excel 101 computer class
Basic computer skills are required. Learn how to organize, format, and calculate data with formulas using a spreadsheet system broken up by rows and columns. Registration is required for all LTTC classes.

Basic knowledge of wireless devices and a library card is required. Learn how to access and download e-Books, audiobooks, and magazines on your wireless device. Please make sure to bring your wireless device along as well as Amazon account information for Kindle devices or apps, Apple ID information for Apple devices, and USB cables for Nooks. Registration is required for all LTTC classes.

Basic computer skills are required. Learn how to create professional documents such as resumes, letters, legal documents, brochures, and more. Registration is required for all LTTC classes.

Basic computer skills and a USB storage device are required (there will be USB devices for sale). Find out how your computer is organized. Learn how to open and save files, and use storage devices. Registration is required for all LTTC classes.
Dalton-Whitfield Library’s The Happiness Project presents Gretchen Rubin’s Youtube Interview and Discussion: September 11th at 6pm
Join the library and other members of the community in watching author Gretchen Rubin’s Youtube Interview and then discussing the interview and her book, Project Happiness.
While you’re here, make sure you pick up a fabric square for the Happiness Quilt. Draw or write what makes you happy on it and bring it back to the library so we can make a community-based quilt!
