DW – Deadline for Tween/Teen Writing Contest / La fecha límite para la competición de escritura

Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library’s writing contest for tweens and teens will end on Wednesday, December 20th at 7:00pm

Open to tweens (4th-8th grade) and teens (9th-12th grade), they can submit one short story or poem to enter to win a prize. There will be winners in each age group. Entries must be received in between December 2nd and December 20th. For more information or to get a copy of the entry form, please call or come by the library.

Come and join us as we work on journals, school writing projects, book ideas – anything you want to write. Or, if you prefer, you can work on an art journal or sketchbook. Basic supplies provided.

CM – Christmas STEM Activities for PreK-5th grade

Chatsworth-Murray County Public Library will be hosting a Christmas STEM Activity day on Tuesday, December 19th from 10:00am-2:00pm

Free for K-5th graders. Come and enjoy individual or small group activities that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math problem-solving skills. Fun Christmas themed projects. Each project will have directions and the kids will be self-directed to compelete as many projects as they would like.

Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library will be providing a free Computer Class: Ancestry.com Library Edition on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 1:30pm-2:45pm

The basics on how to search and find people using Ancestry.com Library edition, which is free inside the library. Classes are using Windows 7 operating system, and laptops are provided for use in the class.
