Dalton-Whitfield County Library will be hosting a Local Author Festival on Saturday, March 24th, 2017 from 10:00am-12:00pm
We are excited to present our first annual local author festival. Local authors from North Georgia and the srrounding area will be at the library to sign books, talk about their writing and share their stories. There will be many genres represented, children’s books, inspirational fiction, memoirs and more. Open to all ages.

Calhoun-Gordon County Library presents a Play Therapy Informational Class on Friday, March 23rd, 2018 from 10:00am-11:00am
Susan Van Buren, a licensed clinical social worker and registered play therapist will present what play therapy is all about. You may know Sue through her ATD therapy dog, Carl. Carl and sue bring much happiness to children here at the library, but there is more to sue than just Carl. Sue is a registered play therapist and would love to teach us more about the benefits of play therapy, what it entails, and the techniques that enhance parent/child relationships.
Dalton-Whitfield County Library will be hosting family movie night on Thursday, March 22nd, 2018 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm
The Spanish Language version of the March Family movie will be played. This 2017 film based on a bestselling novel tells the inspiring story of a boy with facial differences as he enters mainstream elementary school for the first time. Free popcorn and drinks will be provided. All ages welcome.

Come and join us as we work on journals, school writing projects, book ideas – anything you want to write. Or, if you prefer, you can work on an art journal or sketchbook. Basic supplies provided.
For teens in 6th-12th grade.
Chatsworth-Murray County Public Library will be presenting STEAM Club for kids, 5-12 years old on the Fourth Thursday of each month at 3:45-4:30pm

Come read to dogs from Alliance of Therapy Dogs organization. It provides children with a comfortable environment to practice their reading skills and helps with emotional and social skills. No early sign-ups or registration. First come, first served. Parent or guardian must be in attendance.

The first step to check out these awesome downloadable materials is to create an account with RBDigital. This step can’t be done through the app, so you will need to use the browser on your computer, tablet or phone. Visit ngrl.rbdigital.com and head to the Register section. After you’ve filled in the blanks and submitted your information, you’re ready to download the free RBDigital app on any of your personal devices. Once you’re in the app, you will log in to your account using the username and password you created.
