Come by the Calhoun library with a skein of starbella or sashay yarn and your knitting needles. We’ll show you how to make a ruffled scarf fit to impress!

Chatsworth-Murray Library presents St. Patrick’s Day Story Time: March 11th at 10:30 am
10:30am every Wednesday. Please note that story time sessions are regularly scheduled for the general public and are for preschool-age kids. An adult must remain with children attending story time. If a child engages in disruptive behavior, the adult must remove him/her from the session.
We now have a picnic table built by Boy Scouts Troop 75 with materials donated by Bradley Ace Hardware for an outdoor activity area. Story Time will never be the same!
Calhoun-Gordon Library presents a Teen Drop-In Activity the week of March 9th – March 13th
Teens in 6-12th grade, do you have some time to kill? Stop by the library and fold your own lucky shamrock. You’ll find instructions and supplies in the teen area. Make it and take it home with you. No registration and no set times.
Calhoun-Gordon Library is offering a Computer Basics: Getting Started computer class on Saturday, March 7th from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
No computer experience is required for this class. Come learn how to use a mouse, become familiar with the keyboard, and learn about other parts of the computer. This is great if you’re a first time user!
Please note: The class is limited to ten attendees. Don’t worry if you miss it, we hope to offer it again! Registration is required, so drop by the front desk and fill out a form.

Chatsworth-Murray Library is offering a free Genealogy workshop: Tuesday, March 3rd at 9:00 a.m.
The Whitfield-Murray Historical Society is teaming with the
Chatsworth-Murray County Library to offer a FREE Beginning Genealogy
workshop for area residents on Tuesday, March 3 The workshop will begin a
9 a.m. and will focus on research specific to Murray County.
The first hour will be spent discussing various local resources that could
help researchers find more information about Murray Countians of the
past–unusual, out-of-print, or unique publications in the collections of
the Historical Society followed by some time on using the internet for
The session will then move the Murray County Courthouse where beginners will
learn how to use the various public records available there.
Historical Society members Tim Howard, Emily Cogburn, and Diane Davis will
be leading the workshop which will wrap up around noon–although the leaders
will be on hand to answer questions as long as needed.
