CM – Family Movie Night

Chatsworth-Murray County Library will be hosting a Family Movie Night on Thursday, July 20th, 2017 beginning at 5:00pm

We will be showing an animated movie involving toys come to life, one of which is our favorite protector of Gotham. Join us for a free movie and free popcorn. The movie is rated PG.

Dalton-Whitfield County Library will be hosting a Movie Night for adults on Thursday, July 20th, 2017 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm

Based on a popular novel, this recent release features a girl who keeps reliving her last day. Free popcorn and drinks will be provided. Adults 18 and older, please.

CG – Read with a Therapy Dog

Calhoun-Gordon County Library presents: Read with a Therapy Dog on in July

Meet and read with Carl, Sophie, Peanut or Kavu throughout the month of July. Dates include:

  • July 11th – 3:30pm
  • July 12th – 4:00pm-5:30pm
  • July 14th – 1:00pm

  • July 18th – 3:30pm
  • July 25th – 3:30pm
  • July 26th – 4:00pm-5:30pm
  • July 28th – 1:00pm

Is your child reluctant about reading because he or she feels shy or apprehensive? Reading aloud with an Alliance of Therapy Dog friend, will build up confidence and give a child a sense of ac-complishment. No appointments are needed, just come by during these times and enjoy being with a Therapy Dog.
(He is also available for free hugs to all ages!)

CG – Throwback Thursday for Adults

Calhoun-Gordon County Library presents: Throwback Thursday for Adults on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 4:00pm-5:30pm

The Calhoun-Gordon County Library, in partnership with our Friends of the Library, received a grant from NEGMC this last year to make fleece blankets for the foster children of Gordon County. We are still working on this project and have plenty of fleece to turn into blankets. This is an excellent opportunity to give back to your community. Come on these Throwback days and participate in this activity. Win-ter will be here soon and we do not want any child to be left out in the cold.
